Nancy turns out for Saturday's WEB JAM hosted by her colleague Delegate Carrie Webster who is running for re-election in the 31st District of Kanawha County.  WEB JAM took place at the Second Avenue Community Center on Charleston's West Side.  Community leaders are responsible for many of the improvements we are seeing on Charleston's West Side.  Legislators' like Nancy and Carrie have been strong advocates for the citizens of the West Side.

Hundreds of people turned out for the annual East End Yard Sale on Saturday, May 10th.  The weather couldn't have been any better to meet up with folks you know heading into Election Day, May 13th.  A beautiful spring day,and blocks to walk are always a good way to ward off a bad case of election jitters.
Nancy joins CWA friends who participated in the Cover the Uninsured Week rally at the Capitol on Saturday, May 3rd. The rally was sponsored by the West Virginians for Affordable Health Care (WVAHC). Other groups joining the cause came from labor, education, business, churches and other concerned West Virginians who want health care reformed. img0095
On the other side of the Capitol, thousands of West Virginians turned out for the annual Susan B. Koman race and walk for a cure. Each group agrees - research and affordable health care just has to become a national priority. img0096

Residents of Kanawha City, the West Side and the East End of Charleston turned out on Saturday for a Community Trash Clean Up day.  Part of attracting people to live in our communities is making our communities attractive places people want to live.   Nancy joined her Kanawha Ctiy neighbors in cleaning up trash along MacCorkle Avenue.

Cedar Grove Middle School student council members and Mayors of Eastern Kanawha County teamed up to host a Meet the Candidates forum.

Principal Charlie Mays wanted to engage Cedar Grove students in the election process to demonstrate how easy it is for each of them to have a voice in shaping the future path our state takes.  Moderator for the event was Amanda Barren of WSAZ-TV.

Before the forum, Nancy campaigns with Cedar Grove parents who turned out to support their home teams.

Look into the eyes of a child. Like you, Nancy Guthrie is mindful that the best gift we offer is leaving a legacy of a better West Virginia and a better America. We’re running out of time and options to make the world brighter for future generations.

Our first fundraising effort in the Vote Nancy Guthrie campaign was held at Taylor Books on Capitol Street in downtown Charleston. Taylor Books is one of the best examples of what Main Streets in West Virginia can look like.
